Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) is one of the seven Emirates. Covering an area of 6,568 square miles it forms the northern part of the Arabian Penisula. It is connected to the other Emirates and Oman by highway. The journey time by car to Dubai is about 45 minutes.

Saqr Port is the main port which provides bulk and container services for import and export. RAK International airport is currently undergoing expansion but services mainly cargo with only some passenger traffic at the moment.

Ras Al Khaimah Desert

The population is multi cultural with approximately 250,000 inhabitants.

RAK is a popular tourist destination with visitors from the UK, Europe, Russia and USA travelling to the Emirate for a truly relaxing break and staying in one of the five star hotels, the newest to open is the Banyan Tree Resort and Spa. Many Dubai residents also own properties here choosing to stay for the weekends to escape the hustle and bustle of the City.

Non UAE nationals can buy freehold property in RAK, one development has completed two out of its three phases offering beautiful apartments and villas at reasonable prices with other developments currently under construction.

Ras Al Khaimah Mountains

Aside from the 27km of beach coastline the desert offers tourists and residents an exciting playground, with dune bashing, safari tours and trips to the nearby Hajar mountains to name just a few of the activities on offer.

RAK is a safe and secure place with a close to zero crime rate. It has beautiful beaches and picturesque desert and mountain landscapes. It has a laid back feel but with a good infrastructure and an excellent banking system.

A highly developed legal framework is in place which regulates business and investment issues. It is growing rapidly in all types of industry.
